Quick Introduction to SecondLife
SecondLife, abbreviated to SL, is a game where you can dress up an avatar and roam around and muck about as you please. SL IS STRICTLY AN ADULT GAME BY ITS NATURE, mostly because the VAST MAJORITY of players on there is some form of sex freak (both respectfully and disrespectfully) that takes their time in this game as serious as if it was actual flesh and stone. SecondLife was meant to be lived alongside your first life, after all.
YOU CANNOT PLAY SL AS A MINOR, OR EVEN AS A YOUNG ADULT (under 21) I'm even inclined to say you should not play SL unless you've learned strict boundaries and a strong discernment and understanding about other peoples ways of life. You will get unsolicited DMs wanting to bang your character, no matter what they look like. You will find bizarre and extreme kinks at play in this life and people who want you to engage in it. You will run into a PKMN bdsm sex dungeon. There are MLP avatars with fully detailed genitalia. the list goes on.
But due to this nature, it also allows something that many social sandboxes are dying for in this day of age: unlimited customization. You can be anything you want in SL. Yes. Anything. From an Amazon box, to a Horse, to the very concept of Schroedinger himself.
You. can. be. anything in this sandbox. And thats what make's SL so alluring vs games like VRChat and IMVU (To me, anyway).
If you can learn how to grow thick skin and get past its clunky, unfriendly UI you can make anything in this damn game work. I will not go into an in-depth tutorial about this game but there are two fantastic ones that you can read by fox and sofa respectfully, both whom help maintain conejo island.
